Lurcher88 51
Ahhhh - I've just got the 1x Beddy Whippet x GH. Currently feed him first thing @ 7am then tend to leave a bowl of GH food in a bowl for him in his kennel to snack on during the day while we're out at work - Probably where I'm going wrong. nothernlite 18,089
GIVE HIM A BONE INSTEAD OF THE FEED THEN FED HIM AFTER HIS WALK WHEN YOU COME HOME Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
mine fed once at 5 pm and eat it all in minutes not a drop left Don't you find it screws things up if you decide you want to go on a last minute lamping trip and can't because they've been fed? That's why I feed twice a day. Early morning after walk and then before bed. So if I decide at 10pm to go lamping they've had a meal that morning. Quote Link to post

Sirius 1,391
Split feed or one meal per day. Having food permanently available can often cause a range of problems. Quote Link to post
BS40liam 203
Mines fed at 6/7ish after morning walk then at 6 pm after evening walk but dry biscuit and bowl of water left down to snack on through out the day, I need to change the routine now tho as I find my lurcher is just picking at her meals and I go d one day she looks and feels well but the next she's like a bag of bones! Very odd lol 1 Quote Link to post

mintstick999 485
I think it depends on your daily routine or how hard you train or work them, as long as you don't feed straight before exercise you can't really go to wrong not everyone's the same. good luck with your pup. Quote Link to post
