A1WOC 212
Bored silly and housebound due to todays heavy snow, I thought it would be a good opportunity to dismantle my new TX200HC to see how it works. Although its only a week old and still bedding in; when I had all the dismantled parts in front of me I couldnt resist a couple of tweaks, hopefully to make it a little smoother. A thorough de-grease, polish the compression tube and polish out the machine marks on the spring ends, re-grease and assemble back the parts. I wanted to keep it as near original for the remainder of the warranty period. As I write this the snow is still falling, so I am unable to take the TX outside to zero it and see if my tinkering has been of any benefit. Regards, Steve Quote Link to post

Mawders 595
Nicely done! Wish I was as confident but I just shoot the things and don't bother stripping them. I just see it as an expensive bit of kit to break should I take it apart! Oh and trust me it would break knowing my luck lol. Quote Link to post

A1WOC 212
Lots more snow again, and still unable to get out to test myTX200 after the strip down; stir crazy comes to mind this weekend! It’s too cold to go into my workshop to do anything; so I spent a couple of good hours earlier watching my son and granddaughter build two enormous snowmen. Following that I watched a flock of starlings gather in my neighbour’s oak tree, prior to swooping down on our bird feeders and devouring the handfuls of mealworms put out for the local song bird population. Mid afternoon and still feeling bored; I conditioning oiled the stock, lightly machine oiled the moving parts, and wiped the action, barrel and air reservoir of my HW100 with an oily rag. Later I may wash, dry and lube a pellet or two before relaxing with my favourite vodka Regards, Steve Quote Link to post
