smoothfinish 26
Hi there im having a problem with my 2 hobs!!!!! I got the 2 hobs 2 years ago from a lad on the forum they are brothers BUT this time last year they started to bite each others ears the smaller hob is the worst out of the 2 and it gets really nasty some times making the bigger one cry out in pain im lead to think its the time of year where they are wanting a jill as last year i had a jill but gave her to a good friend of mine as i thought that would stop the fighting but i went out to feed last night and its starting again the big hob as got very sore ears not blood but very red do i split them for the next few months or will they stop this over time???????????? Jamie m 668
If i do split them will they go back in the same cage in 3-4 months time without biting lumps out of each other You could get them both castrated problems solved no more hassle Quote Link to post
deck 35
keeping two males is always a pain i found this time of year, unless you got hutches to separate them, which you will have to do now untill at least the end of summer maybe a lot longer. Quote Link to post
ferret100 47
Would be humane to castrate them both asap, you will need to separate them pre-op and post-op 'til hormones settle down. They'll be far happier castrated and living together in a few weeks time than the way they are now. Atb. Quote Link to post
