Opinions On Plummer Terrier

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone I am getting a plummer terrier pup in 2weeks when

he is 8 weeks I was wanting to know how to stock break him to cows sheep horses ect ......

Get it out early and let it see stock. Put him on a long lead and yank him back if/when he runs at the sheep or horses. Get him in a chicken run if you can and just scold him for showing interest. Its all best done early if you can.Remember some pups wont take too much scolding.

My mate has had two Plummers. They were both shit..

I would say 95% of them are mate, bloodlines are everything and the breed was never seen through to fruition, hijacked by pretenders and wannabes, bred for colour and not work, its a shame as they had so much more to offer 20yrs ago, most are too big and only ever see a showring, my terriers are bred for work and temperament, I always try to secure working homes for my pups whenever possible, they will also work all legal quarry,WM
