Recommended Posts

Hi fokes I have decided to go to raw kibble is no good and I soak the kibble so there breath stinks as nothing is getting chewed and sick of picking up big massive turds lol

So I no what meats are good but just wanted to know what variety u guys feed

I plan on giving them a chicken carcass or lamb ribs in the Morning then after there walk / run ill feed tripe chunks and or beef and liver mince or beef and heart mince

And supplement with kelp salmon oil and the odd raw egg and any scarp veg left over

I have a 80 lbs and a 40 lbs so 2/3% of meat is fine ??

Also do you guys do barf ( with veg ) or prey model diet ( just 10% offal 10% bone 80% muscle meat )

Any advice u can give on feeding raw will be much appreciated as I tried before and my 80lbs lad lost to much weight but done my research now just woundered what working lurtcher s get in a meal

I have now settled to this feeding regime, 1lb raw Beef or Lamb or chicken or ferreted rabbit,

Raw meat is delivered to door Durham Animal feeds, a good handful of Gain 20 Percent.

A cube of Grated Carrot and Spinach, made up in a ice cube tray, found that tip on here, one cube

daily.

2.5 oz of gain Garmivit supplement.

a knob of lard daily.

once a week, tin of sardines or any oily fish.

I know dogs love tripe, but i don't feed it, as its low on protein.

The thing with feeding raw diets is that you can adjust it to suit the dog and its work load.

A basic day to day for me is 3/4 of the meal is tripe and chicken mince or tripe and beef. Then the other 1/4 is chicken carcass or offal such as liver or fish along with vegetables. it depends whats available.

I add a few supplements also depending on the dog.

It's not rocket science as some should have you believe.

Good luck Sirius
