any ideas my freinds got same gun as one of my gun which is a hwk97 ( weirauch) mine drops magpies at 40 yards but his hw97k he shoots a magpie same distance its hitting magpie feathers come down magpie flys off but it goes through cupboard doors at 25 yards do you think it needs spring or piston seal or both even let me no what you think ?

Could just be bad placement missing all the vitals where you had a good shot

Are you both using the same pellets? Your barrel may suit different pellets. Have you tried grouping out to 40yards to find out your POA to POI? Do you have a consistent hold? Does your mate have the ability to shot out to 40yards with a springer?

chronograph both guns with the same pellets.then you will know

If it goes through a cupboard at 25 yds im sure it would go quite deep into a magpie at 40...

Sounds like your friend needs more time practising on paper and possibly with different pellets before he tries shooting anything else live.
