And havnt got a vasc hob I've got a price of 35 bucks is that cheap or no ? And is there any down falls to the jab ? Any advice much appreciated Quote Link to post
The one 8,484
the jab has its plus and minus points like ever other method ,the jill can come back in season and repeated jabs can cause hard lumps to form under the injection site , with jills coming in 4/5 times a season have you nobody near you with a snipped hob ?. pie-eater 377
Did I read that right £35 for a jill jab? When I used to use the jab years ago it was £5. Hopefuly there will be someone on here who will loan you a snipped hob. Quote Link to post
gak25 16
Yea 35 quid they know how to get your money Not many lads around my area have ferrets so I think it's going to be hard finding a snipped hob Quote Link to post
The one 8,484
Last time i got my lot jill jabbed it was eight quid a fert they came out of season but they all came back in . you might be better getting a hob and getting it snipped and just use it to bring your jills out of season that all i used my old hob for Quote Link to post

GreyRake 108
18 quid at my vets. My vet claims it keeps them out of season for about a year :SLong term use of the jill jab has been questioned about health side effects. Quote Link to post
Nigel1 10
I've just had mine both done vets says its a new jab on market different to the other one and the should stay out of season for a year there is another type which is like a hormone chip but it's a big needle but they stay out of season for at least 18 months Quote Link to post
GreyRake 108
Yeah thats right, forgot about the inplant. Can also get hobs inplanted im sure, does the same job as castration for a limited time, good plan if you want to breed a hob after a couple years.... just got to watch out for the inplant running out whilst hes in with all the jills haha.
