ginga john 268
I'm just wondering why a proper old school chippie needed to pay someone to lay tiles! Most old school chippies I ever worked with were dab hands on the old tiling! You are right Malt and I could make half a job of it but the tiles cost a bloody fortune and I want it to look the best it can, given the time I could do it, just the same as the electrics and the woodwork but it's horses for courses and all that Just pulling your leg mate, a bit of inter trade banter from an ex plasterer! Two trades that can't get away with anything are brickies and spreads, if its no good it comes down again
GRAM71 29
i didn't think tiling was a trade in itself anyway, thought that was always part of the decorators retinue.
just jack 998
i can tile fine, its handy if you can, ie round the home, help family and friends etc but on site and on a price bollocks to that, i'd be skint tilers make money tiling, some kitchen fitters, bathroom fitters price for the job lot and can tile but would they earn a solid living at tiling only, just a thought
