walshie 2,804
23? He was just a baby in the civilian world. My heartfelt wishes go to his family and friends. The medal will help in recognition of his bravery, but it can't bring back a life wasted like that. R.I.P.

This country is now full of grown men and women who spend their whole lives getting upset or claiming compensation because someone else has hurt their feelings or called them "names" and in the background young men like this are laying their lives on the line without a thought for the consequences. Getting our priorities wrong doesn't begin to cover this.

Getting our priorities wrong doesn't begin to cover this. this bravery goes on daily but after 10 years it becomes old news, when was the last time a body was shown being repatreated or a military funeral mentioned in the national press, its quickly becoming a forgotten war, i for one will never forget. "sacrifice and service" words that should mean far more than they do in todays society.
