Petrol Down Mole Holes.

Recommended Posts

I was chatting to someone today and they mensioned they had moles on a caraven site and that they pour petrol down the holes to get rid of them..is there a law against this kind of action.? I told him id have a look at them but these are the kind of folk that wouldnt do anybody any favoures and im reluctant to do them. I own a luxery 38ft statick home on this site and i own my house thats minutes away frm the place. We have alot af wild life in the area..such as newts..frogs and natta jack todes..plus all kinds of finches including bull finches and a goshawk that frequently hunt through our garden. Its pissed me off the thought that the simple minded fools would even consider doing this.

I knew someone who did just that some years ago now. He nearly blew him and his home to feckin bits as it was, pressed hard against his cottage, he only suffered being singed from the back blast and years of p*ss taking from us. And it didn't do much rat wise either.....:laugh:

we used to do it on rat holes on the tip when we were kids it used to lift the ground it was dangerous now when you think but at 12 year old it was one of the best times we had

My mate does it on his shoot. Totally illegal, but nobody knows. Last year he poured petrol down one hole under a tree, threw a match in and the whole tree fell down. His mate turned to him and said: "You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"

I'm sure I remember a story a few years ago in one of the pest control rags where a farmer tipped petrol down some rat holes. One of the flaming rats ran into his house and sort refuge under the sofa and set the house on fire. Don't know if there's any truth to it.
