Wanted .22 Bsa Lightning (Or Similar Recommendations Please)

Looking for a lightning ideally as I love the design and feel of them but would also consider alternative options if you'd recommend them I'm not looking to spend anything over very max of 200 tbh as I don't get a lot of shooting opportunities but I have cash/paypal etc ready if anyone is interesting in doing a deal or any ideas .

Get a weirauch! Hw90/95 spring or gasram (theoben) can't go wrong tad heavier than a lightning but will last forever if looked after and not messed with too much.could even look at hw77/80/97 but getting heavier still.

Had a few lightnings and TBH the latest xl was a piece of C@*P returned twice to BSA to be told nothing wrong and when I stripped piston was cracked! Fitted a v-Mach kit and it was sweet but never really got on with it...sold. Early BSA are better.shot a Stoeger xs20? Fires nice and are accurate @25yds. My suggestion get a.22 hw95 if hunting .177 if target .

Cheers for the advice always been recommended the weihrauch rifles, perhaps it's time to start looks g at one what's the main difference between the 90 and 95, used to work with a guy that wouldn't touch anything other than weihrauch. Perhaps he's not the only one with that opinion ?

Hi. The hw90 has a theoben gasram for its power plant similar to the gas struts on car tailgates etc but much more pressure..the Hw 95 is a "standard" spring/piston affair. From memory the 90 is heavier..some like gasrams some don't I personally like them (I have a theoben gasrammed rifle) but for ease of strip and repair and tuning the springer is the way forward although the gasrams are lifetime units.

Think you'll struggle to get a 90 for £200 and even a nice 95 is gonna cost a little more unless you see a "bargain" before somebody snaps it up! If you can nudge to £250 you'll be getting a better rifle,read some reviews and try your local RFD to hold some guns to see what suits .

weihrauch hw99s small and light just like a lightning/superport

weihrauch hw95k .. amazing rifle, SLIGHTLY heavier than the above but not much. the PERFECT small lightweight break barrel air rifle, and definatly the best choice...
