IMHO owning any type of decent bull breed is like owning a gun, only those with a some knowledge of what they are doing should be allowed to do it.   But, government ban the work that the dogs were

Must admit im inclined to agree........think some people are going just a teeny weeny bit over the top wanting the death penalty because a little spaniel got ragged up a bit !!..............ok its not nice and the kids a f****n idiot....but keep it real for f**k sake theres children being butchered and abused if you want to start burning people alive !

disagree there gnash,,,,that little spaniel belongs to someone ,,,who maybe thinks alot about it..whether in my eyes its a black or white owner dont come into it.. ive got an alsation here thats allways been dog aggresive, but iv'e allus respected this and even change my exersise routes to respect other owners...

You have a good knowledge of bull breeds of decent breeding mate, in your opinion which is it, blood or brains? You old girl was a very friendly animal, good round your dogs and strangers but with the right buttons pressed, what would she have been capable of? [/quote She would of been capable of causing serious damage but then so would my lurchers and so would the collie i had as a kid if hed of grabbed a little dog like that and he was the biggest c..t going for fighting if he couldnt f**k it hed fight it but if that had of been a collie or lab or lurcher ragging that spanial nobody would have been interested.

True, every dog is capable of aggression, but not all breeds are bred for certain things......I don't suppose your old collie would have lasted 2 minutes with a match dog would it ;)

The kids a prat,a c**t,gutless,heartless.....any words you want to use......but at the end of the day a little spaniel got a few cuts on its leg after being attacked by a dog...........happens every day in every dog park in the country.....................just most people dont take pictures of it,had we not been sitting looking at pictures we,d be none the wiser.

Of course he wouldnt have but he would have probably done as much damage as that dog did.And lets face it the dog in them pics aint a match dog its a poxy staff. Most Terriers and Lurchers have probably got more fire in their bellies so should they all be muzzled and kept on leads in public. And whos to say them two dogs didnt meet up and the spanial got shitty and the staff retaliated.

One of my dogs is a large Mastiff-type who has always been OK with people, but won't tolerate strange dogs near her, so I take the same steps as Byron. You have to be sensible and respect your dogs abilities and limitations

I won't let my lurcher run around in public, he is a big animal and people get frightened and other dogs get nervous.......I put new pups in with him as he is good as gold, but why exposé my dog, other dogs or other people to the risk of even being worried?

I don't want my hound put down if he looses it for a second and I certainly don't want a person or their dog injured.......I know what he can do, why chance it?

What am I proving ?

True what DownSouth said, if it was any other breed nobody would care.

If you've got a bull that loves a scrap don't walk it on a park full of dogs, keep it on a lead and at least have a f***ing collar on the dog so if it does get into another dog you can grab a hold.

Mince.....of course they would care.

The rest I happen to agree with, that said, according to some of the logic on this thread your dog likes to scrap because your a bad owner?.......what do you think?
