Elliott 436 Posted March 16, 2013 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 All depends on how high the scope rail is above the barrel. I've just swapped some high mounts for medium ones with Davyt63 for my Hawke Digi Nite Eye 4-16x50. It fits with a couple of mm space over the barrel. Usually best to mount the scope as low as you can, its certainly helped my eye alignment enabling my head position to be more comfortable and above all, consistant Quote Link to post
spring3r 2 Posted March 18, 2013 Report Share Posted March 18, 2013 I have the Hawke 3-9x40 AO IR on medium mounts on a HW95 but it's difficult to get the front bikini cover on. (Actually I'm tempted to cut a section out of the cover to avoid scratching the barrel). For that reason I agree with other posters in that high mounts are probably the better option for a 50 mm objective. Quote Link to post
