Understanding Feeding And Quiet Birds

This is the last aspect of falconry that i really cant seem to get my head around; throughout the moult the bird if fed through a chute wont see you and then associate you with food therefore will not call to you (moisy/screaming) but what about through the season and the days where your not hunting and cant feed away from the mews? does the same principle apply?

Also does having the mews have to be placed in the garden were the bird will not really see any human beings help, except for the odd dog walker or kid passing the fence?

If i take the plunge this season i want do everything as right as possible but need to be aware that my next door neighbour is friendly with my landlord and a screaning hawk would not be tolerated at all as they are not even pet people never mind understanding hunting types and i certainly would not want to have the council round after somebody has put in a noise complaint  or most improtantly the girlfriend would probably leave me lol

Many Thanks

I think it's in the bird fella . I don't put my bird away to moult I still av her out most days on the bow perch on the lawn with a bath .i think it's better and less maning is neaded [BANNED TEXT] season arrives .and also makes the bird more steady .food in avery just before I put her away for the night .thats my way .

seclution is by far the best way as a bird at top fat weight does not want much to do with you and this results in stress marks in the feathers, that makes fracture points in the feathers where they can break.the bird is totally relaxed and able to moult out freely on a good quality diet .
