Hdpe...ultimate Strength?

Recommended Posts

Anybody worked with HDPE ( high density polyethelyne....same material as industrial chopping boards ) before for catapults.

I have 2 here made out of the stuff.

Works just like wood so doesnt need and specialist equipment and doesnt have to be treated.

100% weather proof....

Ive had a couple of fork hits with the blue one of mine and it wasnt affected at all.

I know there is other materials out there that are strong...multiplex....aluminium etc...

But for weight, strength and durability....i really like the hdpe

Whats your views on a durable, allround , material?

Only negative i can see with the hdpe...is it loses some of its grip when wet...no more than a varnished piece of wood though
