I can honestly say I wont get a kick out of winning a rosette mate. I keep my dogs to work, if rosettes were enough to make me happy I'd wrap in & keep show dogs

We are all different ,but surely anyone who enters a show wants to win?I keep my dogs for work and would never dream of keeping show dogs ,but being competative is part of human nature?Everyone loves a winner, especially the Irish at Cheltenham!!!

I understand what you're getting at mate but shows/showing do not appeal to me. I've never dressed up in my lasses clothes but can say even without doing it I'm pretty confident I won't enjoy it or get a buzz from it

Are you sure youve never tried her clothes on? Give it a go you might find it liberating!!!!

Still never see me or my dogs at a show no matter what. My dogs are as ugly as sin anyhow......they say that dogs look like their owners so thats me fooked. Shows will continue no matter what, but I think the peddlars will benefit from the shows alot more than the clubs they're funding

lol john if your dogs look anything like your avatar your fooked

not every one who puts there dog in a show wants to win or expects too, or i must be different.. i have put a few dogs in knowing for a fact they wouldnt get picked but the money the shows make goes to a good cause ;)

Ive also entered a class or two just to boost the coffers, but in the majority of cases the rosettes the main draw, possibly why the best looking terriers command the best prices, work comes secondary. When a dog wins shows and works to boot???,the price gets beyond the realms of a working kennel?.
