Steve w bought dan off Tom p, and Fred seen dan run a lot when Steve had him and was very impressed with what he saw and later on bought him as a stud dog, s w told me when he first started running dan he wasn't worth a carrot but once he got proper fit he was hardly missing on the best of hares, a lot of good staying dogs don't run that well until they get a good few runs into them, then they seem to get faster with the more work they get, but when ran not fully fit can seem very slow but 4 or 5 weeks of regular work can transform them into a different dog

a lot of lads are out running there dog in this heat and on the hard ground that is why dog are finished before they start there is a local greyhound man has told me the amount of lads that have been 2 him in the last few week dogs broke up from hard ground some lads will never learn
