fireman 10,945
Some pics of the birds i have, not the best pics in the world but there'll have to do. my siskin pair cinny redpoll hen. and another,i have there 2 in with a sliver redpoll cock, they will produce isabel (white'ish)coloured young the silver redpoll cock. normal coloured cock, split for silver in with 2 silver hens,so should produce mainly silver young. lutino greenie hen, part of a trio,2 lutino hens,1 normal cock split for can't remember ,but should produce some coloured young. some odds and sods and i have put up a camera bird box for filming chicks in the nest so some pics of that as well. and in place with nest pan in the bottom. my best attempt at a pic of my chaffie pair some chance with those two.

fireman 10,945
It's made by Home net Gnasher but i can't find it on their web site ,might be worth good old google for bird camera bird boxes and like i say this one only cost £20 ish. Easy to set up it came for blue tits but i just took the front off as the finches won't nest in a hole, got 30 meter of cable with it and just plugs in the telly on a scart lead,so is always on the av channel. fireman 10,945
You can record what the camera sees with a video recorder Gnasher, was talking to the eldest lad last night and he's on the case to get it linked to the comp in time.Just some new leads and maybe a download of some soft wear so he says and it'll be sorted, worse case is getting it on video tape then changing it to dvd and that's not hard to do,i can't even watch a normal film without fast forward to the good bits so i will be getting it sorted and will keep you informed.

KittleRox 2,147
Does the greenie cock need to be split for ino to produce ino young fireman ?
fireman 10,945
Yes mate but i can't remember what he's split to,some colours mix into others, like the silver x cinny will produce isabel these greenies may produce a different colour but to be honest i like normals so not really bothered if they do or don't,time will tell type thing.Only cocks are ever spilt for anything, hens are not so if you put a split cock over a colour 3/4 aprox will be coloured.Where as a split cock over a normal will produce normal youngsters.I am no expert mate and to be honest thats about all i know and i'm sure bunny's and others know a lot more and can explain it all better..
