Now then guys and girls, A quick trip out was in order today after i got home from work and had a bit of brekky whilst getting my gear sorted. got all ghillied up, was going to camo the gun but cou

Well shot mate, Just goes to show how good how good ranging and knowing your gear can give you a sweet shot.

Well done that Fat Skot, excellent shooting/snipping. Crows are the wearyest of all the corvid family and they will spot you half a mile away if you as much as move or they see somthing looking out of

Cracking shooting mate, I'll never forget my 70 yard magpie with my 95 which was witnessed by a member on here. That shot will stay in the memory bank for some time to come! Nice rifle! See yours doesn't need tuning you shoot it so well!

the last 3 or 4 times ive been out ive taken the 97.. need to stop neglecting my 95 lol, its her turn next time lol.

thanks mate, im loving my 97kt its so accurate, that was just a quick grouping with nearly numb hands in a wind aswell. come summer im hoping for 1 hole jagged groups . the rifle deffo outshoots me, but im getting there. i think the last 2 ingridients i need are better breathing technique and more consistent hold aswell. then i should get pellet on pellet.

cheers again for the kind reply mate, SKoT :victory:

Consistent hold is everything Skot, I'm trying not to sound like an old fart but right from when I started learning to shoot it's been hammered into me by grandad, Dad, Uncles, Instructors and RAF armourers(I wasn't Forces, Dad was)

The more you use a gun the better you will bond with it, if you have 2, you will start to favour 1, I reckon that's what's happening to you now!

Great shooting skot, you wont forget that one ! Like timmy says, you could well favor one over the other. My HW90 was bought from theoben in thier TB model, used it for 18 yrs before the trigger broke, had to go out shooting, no patience waiting for a new trigger, so i bought a HW100t, loved it so much that i put the 90 on the back burner. Anyway, finaly got a new trigger fo the 90, but after a 5 year spell of not shooting a gas ram, I can't hit the proverbial barn door ! And this is the gun i am taking to the spring championships in 10 days time ! I will shoot no other untill after the 24th.

But once again skot well done on that brilliant shot mate, keep em coming.

Well done that Fat Skot, excellent shooting/snipping. Crows are the wearyest of all the corvid family and they will spot you half a mile away if you as much as move or they see somthing looking out of place. That could be somthing as simple as your watch showing out of your coat sleave or you packet of fags next to you, so you've done exceptionally well there skot with consealing yourself. Here a tip when useing decoys crows skot...get some old black soks cut the ends out and pull it over your decoys. Set your crow decoys out in pairs and remember to set them out facing the direction of the wind as a real crow needs the wind facing them so that they can leave the ground quickly. The reason behind the sock skot is crows will only see plastic shining at them and they wont come near.! The black sock will stop that shine. When they land you only have seconds to take your shoot because theyll work out that the devoys are not real in just a matter of seconds and will take stright off again.

Thanks guys ;)

Marty, i wasnt using deecoys was just sat chilling in my ghillie. the shiny uncamoed gun gave me away but they didnt fly until i moved it. over the years ive shot loads of crows can normaly get pretty close when im stalking they either sit there or fly. if they sit there theyre dead simple as that haha. but most do fly off. think im going to camo my gun next time and might try build a little hide aswell. cheers again SKoT
