Weekend Away

am looking to take my lass away for a weekend but i dont know where yet i thought about ireland but ive heard it can be expensive is there anywhere in england or scotland you guys would recomend we dont want to go to a city we want some where quite and well out the way cheers

Ireland can be expensive but if you had a look at Donegal you can go as remote as you like or as close to a town as you like.

Expense wise it will be nowhere near the obvious tourist traps.

Don't dismiss anywhere until you've had a looksie on the net.

lol nothing at all mate its abit far for me just for a weekend if i went to wales i would go for the week :thumbs:

punch bowl inn in the yorkshire dales :) traditional country inn , in the swale valley , excellent homecooked food and plenty of charecter :p.................and im the head chef there

And yet Wales is too far away :huh: You'd pretty much have to traverse Wales to get to Ireland, wouldn't you? Unless you'd meant to fly?

 

How about the Isle of Skye then? It has a ring to it, doesn't it? And, I've been there. F**k me! B&B signs are more common than street name signs in London!

 

I don't know what there is to do up there ~ unless seeing genuine Rock Doves does it for you?

 

But, the scenery as you travel there, by motor, is worth it alone. Scotland's not called " The Big Country " for nothing. And photo's can't do it justice. Seeing is being awed, for life!

 

Back to Ireland; You want a weekend break, or to emigrate? ;)

i would fly to ireland but drive to wales just for weekend
