Seen a very nice farm bred litter of collie x greys today. Sire, leggy, working hill collie, dam, collie lurcher, over 3/4 grey, ten years old, very nice beast. £100 quid. So they are out there.

? collie lurcher ? 3/4 grey presume you mean thats 1/4 collie
Collie put over a 3/4 bred I think he means bud
the parents of the dam were grey x 3/4 grey 1/4 collie and the dam was put to collie so they work out around 5/8 collie 3/8 grey, they're a cracking litter and shoulkd make cracking mooching/ferreting/hunt up curs.

So the dam is 7/8 greyhound 1/8 collie

Or was both parents to the dam bred greyhound x 3/4 greyhound 1/4 collie?? :-)

If you are a defence lawyer you defend people, if you are a builder you build houses - David Hancock is a commercial lurcher breeder so he breeds lurchers - if you couldn't defend or build for shit yo

i bought my first "Hancock dog" off David 20 odd years ago, she was a "real un". ille remember that little first cross bitch till the day i die, for all the right reasons.she would be one of my top 3

I've found with collie types is that they don't suit everybody and when they don't work out then its the dog that invariably gets the blame, thats why a lot of folks say collie x's are this and that w

The bitch is a very racy type, the collie was on the farm working so i didn't see him but the pups look healthy and well reared theres a bitch in the litter white/brown markings who's a nice one too, very bold.

I thought the bitch was a cracker, a really tough, strong looking animal. Well put together, especially for how much grey was in her. The pups were bright, well reared and looked like they would all have good jackets, etc. Should make tidy pups, like Johnnyboy said, i'd have one here now if i wasn't over dogged with a pup on the way!

Good to know, hopefully be able to view them later :-)

You found a collie x pup then? I assume its a collie x as from reading on here a while back?!

Let me know if you get one mate, i'd be interested to know their progress.

No, actually it's not a lurcher pup, we have a cocker pup on the way. The next lurcher will be a collie x. But i have that pup coming and also a young dog (hound) that's eleven months. I'm having to seriously stop myself driving up the road and picking one up though. I will add a collie cur to the gang in the next year or so, i'm just kinda holding out on certain folk on here to stick two of their dogs together and breed me my pup :laugh:

Yeah I'll let you know. I'll try and stick some pics up if I can finally master it, as I promised you a pic of my 3/4 beagle 1/4 spaniel

Bitch before but couldn't do it or know where to put it lol ( I dare not to put it in the hound section lol).

Atb in your collie cur plan ;-)

Thought you might be. What did you pick? (other than a bitch). And did you see the sire?

The bitch I picked was black and white,.... Quite light framed, the lightest of the two ( I only had the choice of two bitches)

I've looked around for a decent collie lurcher litter for nearly two years and then one pops up within a few miles from me :-)
