Weirdly I read last night in "Hounds of the World" that Galgos are slower than our greyhounds. Hard to tell.

The proper Spanish Galgo's are a bit thinner on the ground these days, at lot of the spanish hounds have english or irish grey breeding in em. The pure Galgo throws a broken coat as often as a smooth, and more of a saluki/sloughi build.

If anyone is defo interested in attending a meet, pm me if I can get an idea of numbers I'll look into maybe getting cheap digs for group discount (make your own way here mind) I'll look at the dates for one near Madrid as it'll be much simpler to fly there.
