jimster68 123
only just seen this , ive had greyhounds suffer with this ,the problem is CHILLBLAINS ,when the tempreture drops cold the ends of the ears split and crack ,sometimes the dog shakes its head and it results in blood spatter ,ive herd that its mainly smooth coated typs that suffer whippetx or dogs with a high% of greyhound . what i found was as soon as the weather warmed up yhe problem dissapeared and ive never had it happen in the summer months . dogs that are prone to this only need to be exposed to freezing tempretures for a few moments to trigger off the problem again. to solve this i cut the leg of a pair of longjohns and slipped it over the dogs head when the tempreture droped cold or i was walking the dog ,result was the problem cleared up ,but returned if i left its hood of. hope this helps............jim
