Spring Is In The Air, Time To Get Some New Kit. But Does Your Wife/partner Think You Spend Too Much On Kit, And You Have Enough !

The age old arguement ! I only mentioned in passing that i might get some new gloves, and she wants to know what has happened to the other pairs of gloves ive had over the years ! There worn out love i said, stop using them in rough situations then, she said. Give me strengh !

Where to start! My wife just doesn't get the whole shooting thing full stop! She doesn't understand anything I NEED to buy and accuses me of wasting money! When I go shooting which recently has been few and far between she texts me after I've been gone 2 hours and wants to know if I'm coming home yet, what you have to realise is it takes 50 mins to drive to my main perm which she's fully aware of! Lol

 

She just doesn't get the whole thing, must say though she's getting better recently and being more understanding but will never truly understand!

Yes every time i say im going to the shooting shop today she goes of on one.She say's i spend to much on kit.But i say look love i have been saving each month for this kit.

but i still can't win.Im trying to buy a new air arm in a few month but what do i say? As i would like to have a 3rd air arm in my collection.Women are very strage its like the time of the months start when i talk about shooting.

Dude, exactly the same here. If i'm at my permission more than 30 minutes more than i'm supposed to be, i'm in trouble when i get home! What makes it worse for me is me and the family are in the process of moving, so every penny has to be saved for the new house. She talked me in to selling my beloved HW100 with i sold this weekend. I only gave in because i've got a couple of springers that i love using anyway, and the fact that i know i will have another HW100 again at some point in the distant . Only plus side to it was i got to meet Arn and Milegajo of this website, and they what a pair of gents. Just glad the rifle will be going to a good home and get plenty of use. Better start practicing a bit more with the springers untill i can smuggle another PCP past the missus!

Oh, she gets it mawders, But thers allways something else to spend money on. But at the same time she likes me out of the house shooting, I mean, im not a bad man, she just likes the peace and quiet, and thats why i will get my gloves !

You have to understand joel, women are practical, we are just children in there eyes, But we bring in the oney you say, yes but its not logical to be spending it on a " hobby " that has nothing to do with them or could benifit the children. you have to sulk a bit, like a child to get what you want, its not fair, but there it is.

I don't drink or smoke, both of which my missus does, but if I need some more pellets it's do you really need them. Der!. I wanted a new scope and, "you've already got one ". Try telling her that when she comes home with a new outfit, shoes or hand bag, and you get yes they need them for blah blah blah. We will never win.

Mine is similar,

Me: I've seen a nice gun for sale

Her: you've already got a gun, why do you need another one?.

Me: I have a .22 and I'd like a .177 as well, for the variety and for different circumstances.

Me: *puts head in hands...........*

 

Also I'm not allowed to shoot rabbits unless they have Mixi. Other quarry is ok as long as I don't talk about it, but rabbits are a no no. Oh, and she won't eat any of it.

Oh well! She's a great woman, mother, cook and companion so it's swings a roundabout I suppose!

My misses was the same when buying OUR paintball gear. We are moving into a lovely cottage in the country this weekend and had to sell loads of my paintball gear to pay towards the move. But with a little bit of the money I have bought a bsa ultra but I haven't told her I've bought it :-/ We have talked about when we are in our new place I would like to get a rifle but nothing was agreed on I'm kind of thinking I should of told here I've bought it. I'm thinking of getting it sent to my mums lol

i do get moaned at but i just ignore it,i usually just buy it then its tuff luck.one of my best ones was i tidied up the back garden (that never happens) and fixed the back gate(that wasnt broken) then the next day i came home with a quad that wouldnt of fit if i didnt fix the gate ha
