Ferreting With Rug Rats

Recommended Posts

I got a call from an old mate who does landscape gardening work asking if we could have a trip over and clear some rabbits out of an old ladies garden. Said I should bring my brats as well to get involved. The day was set for today and as it was mothers day I figured I would let the long haired general lie in while we got out.

So at 06:00 (3hrs earlier than we needed to set off) this morning I was woken up by "DAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDDDDEEEEEEEEEEEE.... Remember we're are going ferreting..."

So..met my mate in a cafe and had a bacon butty.. then went over to get started,

Got to the garden and got started not really much of note just a small handful of sets a few holes each. Ended up with a measly 3 but am fairly confident thats the extent of what was in the garden.

My eldest managed to set a net that a rabbit bolted from just seconds after so that was a result.. and lost his welly in the post bolt panic lol.

All done by 11:30 so went to check out a nearby wood that the same mate had squared for us to go hunt on

Few pics of the trip

Best place to be on a Sunday mate... As far away form the long haired general as poss for a few hours !

Banjo's looking like a Pro in them pics mate.

As good a way to avoid doing any chores as any lol

Banjo was able to make himself fairly useful, the big dog isnt injured for once I just left him in the car as the garden was too small really to be arsing about in
