Fac Holder-Sgc Application

Recommended Posts

I currently have an FAC but am thinking about applying for a SGC too (just a .22 rimmy on it at the moment).

My land has plenty of fields (over 150 acres & a 150 acre golf course that I am cleared on for both) so have reason to hold & use.

So would I send back my FAC with my application? Can I also apply for a .17hmr slot at the same time? Anything in particular I should/shouldn't do?

Thanks in advance

Hi

Its a separate process/form,if you want a hmr you have to do a variation of your fac, send your fac with that one not the sgc forms, the sgc form is filled in and sent in as you did with your fac, with referees photos etc,you don't need specific land for a shotty,no real do or donts,I guess when you fill in the app for the shotty under the reason for use I put general rough shooting /vermin control and the odd clay shoot,

Your FAC and an SGC are two distinct certificates issued in their own right according to S.1 for FAC and S.2 for SGC of the Firearms Act.

Your SGC would be a mere formality after you have an FAC. You do not require land, permission or a reason to be granted an SGC, in fact it is a right to be granted one unless you are proved to be otherwise to dangerous to yourself and the public.

Should have no problems seen as you already have an FAC, just send the forms in
