Why in fecks name would a cockerpoo go to ground ...stop talking bollox ......

I dont tell lies socks, dont have to, if it fits, its in, if it dont it digs on, its not come accross owt with teeth yet, if it does it may decied that going below aint a good idea :laugh: , buster.

I agree with the above but we have a small Cocker X poodle that is work mad, bush's, rats, and goes to ground, very controlable, much better than some so called working spaners i,v seen, put any dog i

its sounds a gamble no harm in looking at the pups tho and can have a look at the parents

and those who where saying about them being lap dogs would you not say the same about yorkies? cause iv seen one of them work like a trooper

every now and again your bound to get one that will do a little bit bud but what happens if it wont ? not worth taking the risk theres bound to be some half descant pups about and cheap as well was a young patterdale dog for sale the other day £75 with a £75 post dated cheque if you still had the dog in 6 months time

a bloke down the road from me is selling some westie x jack russel pups

 

just wondering if theyed make good workers what do you all think?

my pal had a small springer spaniel that was brought up hunting foxes,and was dug to a few times, if its in them they will go,

also what i find amazing is breeds wrote off in the uk,can be used effectivly in Europe and oz/nz

Workers have never ruined a terrier breed,the KC brigade have.Why feck about with a pointless cross when a better example of a working terrier is more easily sourced.The main reason they make a comeback abroad is because of the infusion of other blood put into them,they then end up as a type that is not recognisable as the original.

bumped into a guy with a gos,brittany spaniel,westie bitch out on a mooch once-me and my mate started chatting to him and the little westie started marking sum rabbit holes and disappeared to ground i shit you not-bloke said it wasnt the first time- and she had bolted charlie before ;) atb

Should have said are a working breed,not many many generations away from what was once a recognised working breed i.e. the Westie.
