bendrover 556
Copper and orange vagabond. They look like nothing but can be lethal on their day especially on a very slow retrieve. Heard good reports about these, eh Benny lol. Nice fish mate. Copper and orange vagabond. They look like nothing but can be lethal on their day especially on a very slow retrieve. Acuspell 329
Copper is a good colour - I still use a spinner that worked for me 40 years ago. A classic that is still made. The Abu Droppen. 2 Quote Link to post

Dazzam 239
Was out earlier for a couple of hours and landed the two below. Just waiting on the bigger of the two finishing off in the oven. ATB Tight Lines, Daz Quote Link to post
J Darcy 5,871
Mepps number 4 and 5 in red spot gold for me.....caught many fish of varying species on it. Plenty light enough to spin in shallow water without snagging up. Quote Link to post
Acuspell 329
The Vagabond was more or less another of the Abu lure collection - the Little Wiggly. But those look more detailed and excellent! Great for the lakes I would think. Quote Link to post
lifelong cumbrian 1,826
I think a mepp is a great bait, fished upstream, personaly i would rather use a gold then copper then silver. Other people will only use silver, they all catch but i think you fish with more belief with your favorite colour on. Quote Link to post
bendrover 556
silver early season then copper mid season Quote Link to post
Tiercel 6,986
When I was a kid we used to upstream spin all the time for trout and sewin. We would fish just after a flood on little spate rivers. The more coloured the water the brighter the spinner and as the water fined down so you would make the spinner usually mepps less bright. You could start off with silver and end up with black as the water cleared. TC 1 Quote Link to post
