I give my dog's potato peelings all the time, along with all kind's of root veg and occasionally green leaf's.Not aware of any prob's,but what the f**k do i know anyway :clapper: Might be an issue with the starch, but i haven't read anything about this.Fair play to you for dishing up raw tripe,i used to give mine raw unbvleached tripe, then one morning had to dish it up after a few bevvie's, i can't even look at the stuff now.

Personally I would add some raw meaty bones such as chicken wings to the diet. I don't feed potato and have heard that dogs find it diifficult to digest and is high in starch. Socks or rainmaker could answer this in more depth................

The bones provide calcium and help to clean the teeth, I also believe the dogs get enjoyment from crucnhing up the bones rather than hoovering up commercial dry mix...........

Oh I see, sound man :signthankspin: .

I was thinking what good does it do and was thinking whether or not to keep on feeding the bones, but you've reasured me with that.

The bones shall stay!!!

In the winter I feed whatever meat is to hand and what the butcher gives me as well as Bellman and Flint Working Hound Maintenance Dry food which is superb stuff and my dogs look great on it. I feed it exclusively in the summer for hygeine reasons also.

Just about the tripe thing really, anybody on here remember "tripe & chips"? Just as popular as "fish & chips" around Southport when I was a lad :clapper: . Haven't had any for years now.

My dogs get anything and everything, when I have a cuppa and a "Rich Tea", so do they B)
