Hw100 Or Bsa Ultra

hi i have just restenly got my self a hw100 and for the price and the way it performs i was not that happy as for the last year i have been shooting with a bsa ultra 177 and you cant knock the thing its a right good little rifle for the price i can shoot pellet on pellet with the bsa at bout 40m bout 30 with me 100.

and was just wundering wat you lot on here fort thanks

You sure you got the right pellet for hw

both rifles are as accurate as one another

its just finding the right pellet for the right barrel what works well in one barrel will not necessarily work well in another,so have fun finding the right one!

 

and just for an example here is the group you can expect from a HW100 @ 60 yds .177 8.4 grain AA field 4.52's

Hi mate as the others have said, if your only getting a pellet on pellet with the HW100 at 30 yards you defo haven't managed to find the correct pellet for its barrel yet buddy.

 

I see its a .22 caliber HW100KT that you own. I have the exact same model and caliber as you plus a BSA Ultra SE aswell in .177.

 

My HW100KT .22 loves Webley Accupell pellets and will group very very tightly at 55 yards with them (5p size 3 to 5 shot groups).

 

Other good ones to try in them are FX 16 grain, H and N FTT at 14.66 grain (5.53mm) and AA Fields at 5.52mm.

 

Regarding potential accuracy the HW100KT if matched with the correct pellet will do just as well as your Ultra does and vice versa. Both will provide staggering accuracy, its just down to which ever one fits you the best then to which you shoot more accurately.

i had a 22 hw100 and it liked most pellets i tried. it liked accupells, ftt's, air arms, falcons, superfield, superdomes (out to 35 yards but they dropped like stones after that). the pellet i hunted with in the end was powapells. i dont know why it liked them that bit more than accupells, but it did. it only did 10.9fpe with them, but stacked them on top of each other.

 

when i got into doing a spot of target shooting as well, i eventually settled on air arms fields 5.52. i was gutted as they're one of the most expensive.

 

a cheap pellet it liked out to 40 yards was milbro caledonians. they looked awful, but it liked them. it wasn't too fussy at all. great gun the hw100.

Yeah I got se itna brilliant gun only fault is low shot count but [BANNED TEXT] only out for a few hour hunting its plenty. I'm a lefty as well and its light enough to hold and load I did switch the bolt over but didn't like it. I think the old one with mmc would have been better for me but had only heard bad reviews

have used rws pointed AA diablo field webbly accupel rws hollowpoints and got the others off a [BANNED TEXT] of mine gunner tri get hold of some jsb coz they [BANNED TEXT] i use for my bsa

I've had no problems with my ultra m/s. They are a great gun for the money. I sold my hw as I only used ultra.

I have a HW100SK in .22. and its a cracking multi-purpose rifle. And as others have said, with the right pellet it will out-shoot most people every time..

My shoots AA field diablo, Accupells and Falcon Accuracy Plus extremely well. Good luck in the pellet testing.

Oright lads whent out yesterday to the rang [BANNED TEXT] me dad and me bird got up Sunday morning got me rifle drank me 3 cups of coffe and off we whent got there for bout 10 whent to tri out the rws supper dome and what a good job they did was getting pellet on pellet started at bout 35 yards and worked me way up to 50yards so im gunner start yousing the rws super dome even me bird had a gd shoot and she enjoyed it to will have some pics up later

the 1st 2 are mine and the last 1 is me birds on a 15 meater shoots she is getting good i think next time ill let her use my ultra and if she can get 10 out of 15 pellets in a group ill let her have it lets see wat she can do
