Guest baldie
I agree with a lot of the points made on immigration, but there are always two sides to a story, i,m gonna tell you one thats happened to me today. Like a lot of other people, i,m terrified of the dentist, due to several bad experiences when young, resulting in several abcesses, and pulled teeth over the years, unneccesarily, through lack of routine care, preffering only to go when things got too painfull, a f*****g stupid policy on the whole. Two years ago, i went, and had a scale and clean etc, including a filling, and two weeks later the guy got struck off for sexually abusing a woman patient whilst she was "under". Made no difference to me, but i stupidly let my registration lapse.Last week, i started to get a twinge, which got worse, so the wife rang the practise fully expecting to be told to bugger off. Suprisingly, they were taking new patients, but the girl on the counter didn,t appear to have much clue, but made me an appointment nonetheless. Walked in this afternoon to be greeted by two women of afro carribean descent, and the girls apparent lack of communication skills on the phone, now became evident why, but she managed perfectly well. Off i tootles upstairs to be greeted by the assistant, a middle aged woman, of eastern european descent, and then the dentist, a chap from the same area. They couldn,t have been nicer, or kinder, and he gave me a filling and a scale and polish, without mucking about, as he could obviously see i was agitated. I got a place there, quite obviously because the general public in the area "dont want to be treated by foreigners" , More fool them, i,ve had toothache too many times, and i wont be letting my registration lapse again, i dont give a flying f**k what colour they are, providing they can do the job properly, and efficiently. There are jobs in this country that need filling, dentistry being the biggest, and i have no objection whatsoever to properly trained people doing it. On the other hand, i also agree, there are far too many here, for a free ride, and brought their families with them.

Guest baldie
Nah mate, standard NHS level 2 price, which is £40 odd quid.I just thought it a good example of SOME work, where we DO need foreign workers desperatly. However, that doesn,t go for the sparks, brickies or chippies, were hardly short of them, and the british lads are being crucified on wages. However, someone is employing these migrants, and the british people are giving them jobs to do in their own homes, so it seems to me, a lot of folk are big on talk, but when it comes to getting a job done, at a third of the price, their principals go out the window.
