Username1 0
Hey there,I'm looking to buy an airgun but don't really know what to look for, i'm looking for under £200, i found the Gamo Vipermax and quite like it so would you say that's suitable for someone with a basic knowledge airguns. I have used airguns for about 5 hours so know the basics but i'm looking to start shooting more often, what would you give as a recommendation for myself?Kind Regards,Calum Bruce Quote Link to post
gurtwurz 792
Personally I'd hold on and buy a second hand hw80 or hw35 mate, it'll cost you around 150 notes and out shoot a gamo all day long. Also, if you really get the bug you could have it tuned and then it'll out shoot just about every break barrel out there (including the new walther, and thats a500 quid airgun) Granted, neither are as pretty as a shiny new gun but youre looking at pure airgun gold with an old hw, accurate, reliable and built to last your shooting lifetime. Cheers, wurz 3 Quote Link to post
The one 8,481
air arms s200 if you can find one Quote Link to post
Halfinch 51
air arms s200 if you can find one Great Gun, but he'll be hard pushed to find one for 200 notes. Now the HW35 is a cracking gun for the money, and you'll find them for around the £150 mark. Edited March 7, 2013 by Halfinch Quote Link to post

Aye our local clay pigeon club has them at there range and men, woman and kids use them never a problem so i thought they would be a ideal starter gun Quote Link to post

robwelsh 354
A brand new 95k from sportsman is cheap Quote Link to post
pianoman 3,587
Great advices on the Weihrauch spring rifles lads. Our friend here would do well to take it. A second hand HW80 or HW95 alone is pure shooting pleasure. It'll thrash the pants off any brand new Gamo.(And most PCPs come to that! ) 1 Quote Link to post
