Millet 4,497
If i was hungry Boyo i would want something caught as quick as possible.. ..can you imagine the amount of drooling and salavating you would do on a 6 min run if you had not eaten for a week..i would probably end up expiring through dehydration not hunger.. ..it got to be as quick as possible for me all day long..rather catch quick or miss quick and move onto the next one.. 5 Quote Link to post

trenchfoot 4,243
I like 'em to get the job done quick. Dogs sat behind quarry as it runs over the horizon, or the boundaries of your permission leaves me breathless running after the buggers, some stuffs too heavy to retrieve that far. And if your not on permission, best less said Quote Link to post
neems 2,406
depends on the ground,no good a dog burning itself out too quickly in a very big field. 1 Quote Link to post

stubblebasher 150
We all want up n at em types that get the job done quickly , but good uns can't be killed quickly , they have to be ran ! There's a massive difference between something that lays off its hare and runs to take the sting out of it and a plodder . We all know what happens to whip whop dogs when they meet mr right !!! 4 Quote Link to post
Mixed Bag 603
up and at em but with stamina and a clever mind so if it gets on a strong one it wont blow up after 2 or 3 mins something boxy that will cut off escape routes try and force the rabbit away from where it wants to go then make the kill 1 Quote Link to post
killing crew 2,708
which do you prefer a dog to stay behind its quarry and wait for the right time to strike and plod on for fields or a dog that tries it hardest to get to its quarry and gets over and done with ? a dog that can do both 2 Quote Link to post
