A Good End To The Season

the last days ferreting for me yesterday, it started slow bolting just one then having a bad dig through roots where we got the ferret but left the rabbit, we then done a nice set further on and promptly lost three, we then done four sets on the side of the road and had another seventeen with just a couple of shallow digs, I gutted those few and hung them in one of the farm sheds out of the sun and drove to the next village and set of again, the rabbits were bolting well here and we soon knocked a few over without to much fuss, I will potter about with traps and snares for a week or two but that's the last of the ferreting till next October.

, I have a lot of land in that area and have been going on it for over 50 years, the only bother I ever had there was when the present farmers granddad filled me in when I was about 16

We finished up doing the farmers drive and roadside field last week , there was folk out watching standing on the mobile phones we did half the roadside field then my bottle went i was waiting on the police or R.s.p.c.a turning up or a standing ovation every time we got a rabbit

i only climbed over a fence a had permision one side trust me you only have to have one do gooder, the police came and they nearly took all the gear feckers i give em the blag lol
