Bosun11 537
Yep, I too think its a wee bit strange.... No jungle drums mentioning anyone local has lost dogs, so if it were true the dogs are from father afield. Though i've heard of many a Saluki cross sailing off the Withens toward Blackpool a good few times, never to be seen around these parts again. I've even owned one! Never have I heard of three dogs getting off or even being dumped when it just got too hot... I live where I can see the Lydiate fields of Altcar from my window and round here is choc full of anti's and cranks, Freshfield Animal Sanctuary is just up the road and is a hotbed of LACS & anti vermin, they forever 'patrol', on the lookout for dog lads, my guess is this has come from those... And, next time if anyone 'finds' a poor mutt anywhere near Altcar, drop me a pm, spare kennel here...I'll look after it till TimmyK comes to get it, now he loves the desert dogs! Quote Link to post
the pikey poacher 1,157
i said id take them at the begining of the post i would of made sure they got good homes so why give them over to the rspca ? your a bad un 1 Quote Link to post
mark@mbb 31
The lad who found the dogs kept them for two days looking for the owners he has 3 dogs of his own it aint dogs home the c**ts shouldnt of left them that the top and bottom they want fxxxx for leaving there dogs not the lad who handed them in Quote Link to post
baldockbanks courser 598
got to ask yourself lads, "if you found 3 dogs on altcar would you hand them in to the rspca" i wouldn't, i would have put pics up, or rehomed them myself. giving three lurchers found on altcar to the rspca is going to make it difficult to impossible to explain and get back If I had to make a choice, I had to give my dogs to r.s.p.c.a or shot them? there'd go in the ground. I find homes for my injured and retired dogs myself, if there honest triers. Be honest, the feed back I've got from dogs I re homed is, as soon as there off the lead they hunt up (with no catching to do) an don't come back, they are working dogs, the same dogs with me never left my side. Is it fair to keep a driven dog on a lead all its days? Probably not. The r.s.p.c.a have no idea what is a suitable home for an x worker. I wouldn't lower myself personally to ever ask for there help! 1 Quote Link to post
