I chose a working breed bedlington,

I can't comment on its working ability as I've not had her long but she's a sensible pup with a cracking nature and has always got her nose down like a Minnie hound already.

She will suite me better than a spaniel or beagle x but I'm not saying there not good but chose something that will do what you'll ask it to do horses for courses.

Jack Russell, Plummer, patterdale, Lakeland, Bedlington, spaniel, beagle x,Take your pick mate, any of these will do the job for you, but if you dont want the dog dropping to ground then either go for a larger type terrier or spaniel or a nice little jack Russell from hedging background.
