GIVING UP SHOOTING

Hi folks,

Im thinking of giving up shooting for good.

Too much red tape ect, has me driven mad :wacko:

I go a lot with freinds anyway, so fox shooting, deer stalking ect will still be happening, but, just not with my guns, as im selling the lot.

Im going to stick with my lurchers ferrets ect, bit more freedom.

This is a sorry tale and one seen far too often.

Keep your guns, cos one day you will just fancy a quick potter after that charlie and believe me if youre pissed off with paperwork now its nothing compared to the pile of the stuff to get em back.

Have a bit of a think about it Frank. It's hard enough to get your certs in the first place, I'd never give up any of mine.

 

And it's good fun even when it's hard work isn't it?

I agree with what the lads have allready said, its far harder to get guns back after giving them up, think yoursellf lucky you can have guns on the ticket, some of us dont have that option available to us I would have a rethink as if you do regret it the red tape to get them back could be worse than what youre experiencing at the moment.

Ricky, you are correct, i am very attach to my .223 and i have been thinking about this for the past 6 months, not easy . The law will change here soon, i would have to get a 1800 Euro, eircom phone watch ( ALARM) fitted in, to keep my guns, which i just cant afford.

The guns are in my firearms dealer as from today, i have variouse gun stuff for sale aswell, scope ect.
