Josh1996 14
I'm looking into getting a whippet or something with alot of this breed in it for example a beddy x whippet. Anyways im wondering how good are they, do they work the lamp very well, are they injury prone due to the small structure? Any info on these is appreciated.. Also if it was your choice would you go for a straight up whippet or a beddy whippet? Cheers. Quote Link to post
Fat-Ferret 857
This little bitch is about 19tts - She has a dash of collie blood here and there...She has quite an unusual personality, but she puts in the effort & we enjoy the craic together.... We haven't had much trouble from injury luckily, because she is a maniac when lamping, and will kill herself rather than let it go... Edited March 3, 2013 by Fat-Ferret 8 Quote Link to post
BS40liam 203
The whippet is a hardy little dog mate, very underrated and can be a fantastic little lamping, ferreting or just general mooching dog, adding something like Bedlington into the mix when half cross slows the dog Down ( just from my experience from living with both breeds) from hearing from other people a 3/4 whippet retains the original speed. I like the look that a beddy brings to a whippet hence why I got one. So basically mate it's down to your preference, a whippet will be good ( from right stock) a beddi whippet will be as good just with a longer coat atb ? Quote Link to post

Rabbiting man 1,191
I got a 3/4 Whippet 1/4 Border Collie that stand 20 inches tall, she's a hardy little bitch, with all the training i'm hoping she turn out a good little lamping, ferreting bitch, she already showing to be a fantastic mooching lurcher working along side my Jack Russell bitch putting rabbits in the bag. 1 Quote Link to post

B.P.R 2,798
Very under estimated little dogs Mines show bred...and i tell ye.....fcuking fiery...and keen! Cant imagine what a good working bred one would be like Injury prone? Mines broke both its back legs.....due to a freak accident Nothing to do with her being fragile or weak blah blah blah. Ferrets and lamps....not one injury....apart from a cut eye. Good dogs. Great in the house. Even better on the couch 2 Quote Link to post
