nangell 50
out this morning before 6 , set my maggy decoy up on a pole at the side of the stables ,which is not far from a good sitter tree, had about ahours wait untill i got my first shot ,it was a maggy ,came in very quite and fully focused on the decoy ,put the crosshairs on it ,pulled the trigger and down it went , next in the tree for me was 3 stock doves which are off limits to us shooters ,there as been a pair nesting here every year ive been shooting here ,which is about 8, ,they do have there uses ,they decoy the woodys in , they also returning after every shot as though nothing happened ,manage 4 woody and them peace couldn't find the maggy ,probley one of the feral cats taking advantage of a easy meal pic of the stock doves Quote Link to post

Craig Fosse 286
Hey mate, quick question what colour is your pole and is it quite visable to other birds, I tried some woodie decoys the other day on bamboo but I was worried that the sandy colour of the bamboo would scare birds off more than draw them in Quote Link to post
