Bullying At School

As a youngster of 14 to 18 I think you need at some stage to stand up for yourself and confront your demons to make yourself feel better and slide into the realms of living your life always wishing you had stood up to the bullies otherwise as an adult I think there is a very real chance of carrying that chip around with you for a long time ..........

That's absolutely true. Kids that never say "f**k it, I'm not taking the wankers anymore" do carry it with them. The brother of an ex of mine killed himself because he could never managed to deal with it, he was a weak lad and as an adult just didn't have the strength to get through the usual shit life deals you, he drove head on into oncoming traffic after work one day............

there is a step by step guide somewhere.

Very good post socks, confidence is key, I don't mean that horrible cocky arrogant type of confidence, just being secure enough in yourself... For kids sport and decent socialising is so important I reckon, get them in a football, rugby teams down the gym for boxing, girls need hobbys too,Allow them to interact with you and other adults so they have the confidence to talk and have a view.... They will get some form of bullying I'm afraid, it could be just name calling and hopefully no worse....

My young niece was bullied at senior school, she's a lovely girl but lacks confidence, my brother took her and her younger sister to marine cadets... The change in her is incredible in the last couple of years, she has a different taste in music and fashion but has the confidence to say it now, she still gets a bit of stick at school but I can see it doesn't affect her now...

As a lad you've got to be careful with it though, confidence is great in that you have that self belief but it can get you in bother, fighting causes nothing but trouble, sometimes you have no choice, but you've got to realise that... It's as much in your head as it is in your fists....

Well my take on school bullying, in my experience would be that some kids grow up faster than others. I seen folk fighting at school every other day and i used to shit myself worrying it would be me someday. I liked to talk my way out, be funny and have a laugh. Some lads in your year at school looked like they were much older, stronger and no way i would want to tackle them. I'd have rather ran away than stand at fight at school. I never was bullied( god knows how i was a wee fat c**t wi hair like a f***ing mushroom) but there was one lad who thought it was funny to give me dead legs by running up and kneeing me. Once even smashed me through the dining hall window doing it......headteacher was right on the scene and i was sent to his office, said i fell and the wee c**t got off with it.

Changed days now....ive caught up...I'd be running from no one whether a kicking is involved or not....

Oh and the boy from school, if i ever see him again i'll be running full pelt straight into him with ma knee and see how he likes it.....i think he would be surprised how folk grow up from wee fat fuckers from high school..... :D

Killed himself and murdered a random driver who probably didn't have those problems coming the other way. Sad state of affairs.

Yeah it is, he was a weak lad with a f****d up childhood. Couldn't deal with life. Thankfully the other driver was in a Range Rover I believe and survived with no serious injury but the memory of him swerving to hit her even after she tried to dodge him will stay with the poor woman. His body might aswell have been a bag of minced meat aparently, fair bit of blood on the road aswell. Can't say I was filled with sympathy for him, even now, I just felt sorry for my girlfriend (ex now) at the time.

Bullying is a c**ts game but some people are just weak, he never had the strength to fight those that deserved it and as a consiquence could very easily have taken an innocent persons life. It's sad but meh, that's life!

there was a lad in my high school who was subject to a little bit of name calling (something youd probably laugh at as an adult), it caused the kid to run off crying a few times so i had a fight with the bully and when the kid was asked about being bullied he said i was the one bullying him, i got in major sh*t for it and was almost kicked out of school  the little b*stard never even went and told the truth afterwards either

i believe quite a bit in karma... i started this thread but i have a confession to make, when i was aged about 7-10 i was a bully just because i was just a nasty little peice of shit, i remember waitin behind a school bus shelter for my neighbour to come past on his BMX and run after him and kick him up the ass as hard as i could so i could knock him off and steal his bike and then i'd throw it in the hedge.... in later years when i was around 14 i took up boxing... i thought i could make myself even more of a nasty little b*****d but it didnt, infact it totally changed me and i dont really know why!! then when i was 17 and totally mellow i changed from my local club to a club full of chavs and with them mostly being bigger than me with junior and senior internationals experience and considered me as a 'country munchkin' with sheep shagger experiance they tortured hell out of me... the only time i could retaliate was in the ring, i'd give those dickheads a real fight during every single sparring session but every night was the same... my training gear was thru over hedges... my towel was soaked in water, i was made fun of in public and it lasted till i left to another gym with intentions of turnin professional.... i never did because i was shit but besides that things have a habit of comin back on you and the abuse i took from those lads is with me till this day!!! they thought it was harmless fun but i never thought that and i was totally powerless against it because in a violent sport i was already dealing with it with violence... in my situation all i could do was walk away and hope it didnt follow.... either that or commit murder lol... and the thought crossed my mind a few times lol!!!

so now when i watch videos like that i cant help but get teary eyed...

i've kinda lost track of what my point is here lol... i guess what i'm trying to say is that no matter how big you are or how ruthless you can be, you can still be brought down.... treat everyone the same as you want to be treated yourself!! and try and teach it to kids...
