Pistol Type Lamp

Recommended Posts

I got one of these at Xmas after seeing a pal using one and I think it's great!!! Yes the beam is tight but the dogs have quickly got used to it and work on it really quite well,no it's not a replacement for my light force but excels at having a stroll off permo or drive bys has 3 settings hi lo and strobe(never used it) is rechargeable mains or car(bloody handy) and has a good range on the beam more than enough for what I need.

Used it to catch all sorts of game no problem, well worth the money.

What he said.

Am i missing something here....   Your there using your fieldcraft.....using the wind....the fencelines and the contours of the ground....getting you and your dog ever so closer to your target.....

No mate me neither just think for the money and size it's a handy bit of kit that's all.

guess you used a few then ffs your talking utter crap mate cos if you had used them you would not be talking through your rear end

Why would you want such a tight beam running dogs? I like a little spread give the dog the chance to see fences, obstacles etc. tight beams ok for air rifles or pantomimes but lamping with dogs, naaaa only looking for injuries.

No mate I haven't. I don't think I mentioned the lamp, I was talking about tight beams in general. You mentioned it being tight beam though and the dogs getting used to it. Hope that clears the confusion up.

Only in comparison to the usual lamps used baw.

I got a pic somewhere of a LF170 beam and this side by side it's not as bad as your thinking and the range is about the same or near abouts, but I understand what your saying

Ok mate, your probably right, it probably is. My lamps ancient, got more tape on it than not. Couldn't even tell you the make. Just a tidy wee size, nice beam, doesn't light up the Next field etc but the beam ain't tight. Lampings not my main thing though, so something like this might be worth a look. Cheers pal.
