I ordered the full tuning kit from Tony, Fry. £47.50 inc. postage which I think is a remarkable deal. Tony prepares everything himself and all you have to do is install it. It's not as though you are assembling a missile, is it!

Andy does a really thorough fettling and tuning job superbly so, it'll be a killer rifle when it's been installed and set up by him.

Yes, you can add this to your HW77.

To have Tony do it himself costs about £140 or so, give or take. But it is a really superb job built from scratch and perfectly matched to the rifle. You get an incredibly accurate rifle at the end of the process. I shot with Si's .22 HW97KT when we met up with Helen and Davy for a shoot, just before Christmas and I couldn't put it down. What a fabulous rifle that is! Well worth spending the money and I can see exactly why Si sings Tony's praises.

But, my Andy-tuned HW77 is on a par with it. And that's on the original Weihrauch components and spring! No other additional parts or tuning kits involved. Honestly I couldn't wish for a sweeter HW77 than the one I have. He won't thank me for saying all this as, he doesn't want to be involved in tuning as a business or for anyone beyond his mates. But fair play to the lad. He's brilliant!

Best wishes mate.

Simon

Edited to add.

If you are really adept at spring rifle tuning yourself, I'd say this Sandwell kit is a great way to uprate your rifle for reasonable cost. Give Sandwell Field Sports a bell and have a chat!

Thanks, Simon. :icon_redface:

To be fair, It was a good one to to start with. Pretty much everything was a good snug fit with everything else so it didn't need much fettling to get the best out of it.

Nice rifle, that one! :victory:
