Lab 10,979
About 6 months ago me and the ex parted company. Now we have decided to get her name of the mortgage and filled in all the appropriate paperwork. Received a letter today saying that they wont grant me a mortgage on my wages alone. I dont want to loose this house....been in the family for 60 years and i run my business from here. Can anyone tell me what my best options would be. Heard about guarentor or maybe putting my Dad on the mortgage but dont know what is best. f***ing fed up anyway so any info would be great. Cheers.....
AirgunGuy 362
You could try an independent mortgage advisor instead of the banks which are givin out f all at the moment. They can usually wangle the funds from somewhere. It maybe completely different now since i last bought any property but worth a shout.

treecreeper 1,136
think you can, iv just remortgaged mine. i smashed more money off it before i did to get under the next ltv and lower payments. they have rung about 4 times asking for different things they dont even need and they still keep asking whether im sure i can afford the payments even though iv been paying more for years and still paid more in over payments. Qbgrey 4,063
no ones lending at the minute, unless you accounts prove very good, and they do ask for accounts now,so most self employed people are screwed..............but you could try the buy to let mortgage, the rent you get plus your income should be ok,of course you will live in it,just need to get around how to do it,but my mates an advisor he told me this, but it was a while back........
