GEOFF.223 83
recently sold my mtc as i thought for the money i payed it was junk. (just my opinion dont panic or get upset) so i got myself a nikko mount master 4-12x50 ao mil dot for £42 it was either a hawke or nikko and i have had hawkes in the past so want to try a nikko stirling mount master as i had a n s nighteater and thought it was well worth th cash. SOOOO does anyone have a nikko mount master and is it any use?????! Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
I had 1 and sold it after 1 outing. Didn't like it at all. The glass wasn't as clear as i thought it should be. Bought a Hawke Sport HD 4-12x50 AO IR and for the money they're excellent. Think i paid around 70 quid new. I personally don't see any need to pay hundreds for an air rifle scope as most people, like me will rarely be shooting at live quarry beyond 40 yards. Quote Link to post
3175darren 1,100
I have one on my 17hmr cant fault it,I allso have the 3x9x40 on my .22 rimfire,no problems for a cheap scope they do the trick, Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
I brought one last month and think its absolutely great, it's a budget scope but... I work on a budget and I find it great, I have the ir as well because it he place I got it was all the have but I don't use it Quote Link to post
AirgunGuy 362
Best reports i've heard. Maybe i had a bad 1! Quote Link to post
the big chief 3,099
I think nikko sterling are a cracking scope for the price I have had gold crown on my aa s310 for years and not had one bit of trouble with them clear as ya like Quote Link to post
tonyponty 6
i got one and the glass is very clear and is good at close range spot on for the money Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
Air gun , there has been reports that the older model wasn't as clear and that the ao allowed water in and broke on a particular batch, they have sorted it now I think, Quote Link to post

I bought it because i already had a N.S. Goldcrown which was/is excellent. I think i only paid around 55 quid new for the Mountmaster an thought i couldn't go wrong. I bought the Hawke and compared them both and there was no comparison between the 2 so the Mountmaster went and i now have 2 Hawkes on the PCP's. I reckon i just had a bad 1 as the glass was very slightly clouded and it made the Hawke look crystal. Quote Link to post
Craig Fosse 286
Yer probably mate shame tho but glad you have a hawke, great scopes too, what's the price comparison like? Quote Link to post
Mawders 595
I purchased a mountmaster for my dad for Xmas and its spot on. He uses his on a tx200 and it hits the target no problem, really clear optics and well priced with a milldot reticule! What more could you want. 1 Quote Link to post

Craig Fosse 286
I thnk nikko do a gameking for around 70, scopes are like the rifle itself personal preference anyway .... My eyesight is probably so crap that the nikko makes it better which is why I find it good hahaha Quote Link to post
thursodog 353
Sh*te mate. Better paying a bit more and getting something worth hanging onto. Sold one and bought a Bushnell legend 5-15x40 second hand from ebay for 50 quid, superb scope! Quote Link to post
milegajo 595
I favour Hawke, but Nikko Sterling certainly do the job. I prefer scopes that i dont feel too precious about. I dont abuse my kit, but let's face it out in the field; Shit happens! Quote Link to post
