skycat 6,173
Great post: brilliant write up: love the humour, and photos of course. I can see why they are such a problem, and clever with it. Reminds me of when I was a kid in Cornwall, there was a hill called Rosewall that had a herd of feral goats living on it. I love goats, but they are serious munchers in number. Where did these originally come from: were they released? Or just abandoned years ago?

jigsaw 11,866
skycat theyve been there since the 30's.Willy the farm owner was born in the 40's and he remembers his father after them and cursing them then too, lol. They are now after becoming a challenge to get a shot,if they hear a twig snap or get wind of you or see you from a long distance they are gone like the clappers. For the last few months theres 2 ferral sheep after turning up,by ferrall I mean theyre hanging about and after asking no one knows how they got there,or who could own them. There arent any sheep for miles,1 farmer told me cull them as their wool is seriously over grown and they haven't been shorn this year and the other land owners dont give a shit what I do with them.........but as sure as eggs are eggs,if I do take em out some one will come on and say they are mine, you shot em,now pay for them.I saw them yesterday again.they are huge looking due to the bad state of their fleece.I reckon their 2 males but they dont have the horns so not sure what breed.looks like black face thingys.
