shropshire-lad 9
. This is about my new pup 5-6months old To day i took the two dogs out and took a rabbit along with me to see if i can get the pup retrieving like she does with the bull. I have her off the lead now, but when she picked up the rabbit all she did was run off with it and rip it apart and eat it. When i went to her she moved off with it, i never had this with my 1st dog she would bring it to me. why could she be doing this and how to sort it out. Quote Link to post

LaraCroft 863
Do a "search" on the forum, and look at the past posts here - lots of very knowledgeable people have posted about this sort of thing - take the time to read about it. 6 months is very young - just pup - let it be a pup and stop expecting it to be a fully trained adult Quote Link to post

Taz-n-Lily 62
Here you go.... http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/index.php?s=1fb6cc2ff49c44b5f3005faf7a5397ce&app=googlecse#gsc.tab=0&gsc.q=retrieving Or type retrieve in the search box. There's plenty of info, but as has already been said, let the pup be a pup for a while yet. Quote Link to post
