micky 3,325
me and my eldest lad were out yesterday ,we were going on a farm that holds a lot of rabbits but they are in areas that are hard to ferret , snaring and rifle shooting is the best methods here and over the years ive had a lot here doing just that . Yesterday when i pulled up in the crew yard some old fellow was tapping his window to get my attention, when i went over he asked if i wanted a few nets he no longer used, there was over 35 hemp and a dozen nylon purse nets ,a hemp stop net and three ferret collars ,all of it looked unused all he wanted was a couple of rabbits if we could spare them ,i am not a fan of hemp [mainly because i forget to dry them] but i will use them for as long as they last. the rabbitting went well with only a couple of digs and a bit of luck with back netted rabbits, we ended the day with 40 good rabbits and we also caught 5 with dixie , the does had pea sized kits in them so we are ok for a bit yet. 1 Quote Link to post

fitchet 788
I was getting about £1.20 per rabbit. But theres a gamedealer whos just moved in 3 doors down and he gives me £2 each and will take as many as i can get. I gave him nigh on 200 rabbits a few weeks ago and hes still been onto me since. He also said if i can get netted/headshot hares hell give me a fiver each but i dont shoot em. Atb Quote Link to post
