LaraCroft 863
I'd like to clone a litter of a top class dog (add famous mutts name here) and then give all the clones to a variety of lads and see which make the grade in the end. That way you could test the nature or nurture theory. Now that would be really interesting - given identical dogs, it would all be about the handler. Wonder how many people would agree to turning the microscope on their own talents or lack of - without being able to blame the dog. 1 Quote Link to post

bryson 562
i would clone my dads old deer x grey its lone gone now but that dog was my gateway in to hunting as a little nipper and by that dog killed a shit lot of gear Quote Link to post
Bosun11 537
I was gonna say my old bitch in my avatar or maybe her sire Spike but in this day an age i'd probably go for my mates old lurcher Stripe, he is just about all I could want in a dog and still doing the business at about 12 years old, one hard, keen mutt, of pedigree unknown. Unfortunately he's a 'jaffa' or I would have had a pup out of him years ago and so thats why i'd clone him! Quote Link to post
Wxm 1,638
Would you not think, whether it be 1 of the greatest that it would excel like they did then as a lot has changed since then and now, from the food to the exercise and the methods of training because you'll never know 100% how Mr or Mrs so and so got their dog to work in such a manner. the reason that dog's so good could be the fact that while out ferreting / hare coursing could have been something as simple as it got bit by a rat or striked at a hedgehog well could be 1 of millions of things that triggered them to be something that stood out from the rest. say it was a great pit that was the dog's bollox (pre 1835) then where they could openly "roll" so to speak or a great hare / fox dog or bitch where they could course 7 day's a week without hassle and if you were on perm then you'd still get away with it with the old bill watching from over the hedge. I think the best part about cloning would be the fact you could bring back a dog or bitch that you were attached to and not just for the sake of having a world belter 1 Quote Link to post

Good one that I said my first lurcher for the memories that would flood back..... You tend to grasp these things when you get older lol. All these things you cherish as you get older off the topic, I met this girl and wet my whistle a few times over a space of about 2 weeks. then never bothered returning calls / text's ect got bored so to speak and the last text she sent was "I was told you only fcuk girls then fcuk them off" (somewhat around them words) anyway I texted back and 9 years later I have a 8 year old daughter and have had more shite than a muck spread field no wonder she was an ex with in the first 2 years. so if she hadn't have texted, then I wouldn't have had my daughter that I wouldn't change now. so I do defiantly believe the surrounds and advents that happen along life, do take up a big factor in life. TOMO 26,864
No mate,, she wasn't a known dog,, I just happened to be at the market,, and this fella was up from heartfordshire with the bitch,,, he was supposed to meet someone there,, but they never turned up,,,, I got talking to them fella,, he wanted 120 for her,, but I only had 60. I just liked the look of her,, she had that speedy looking shape of a greyhound, and she was what she looked fecking fast His words were she wasn't as good as his salukis at coursing,,, didn't have that 5-6 minsin her,, wich she didn't,,but believ me she had a good 3 mins wich I thought good for her fast type breeding,, and boy could she knock stuff over,, she just possessed one of those mouths that ended courses quik,, took to ferreting ,, and lamping,, and retrieved softest mouthed dog I've ever owned,,also took roe and mutys. Here a better pick she has the red collar,,, look at the width of her chest,, compared to the other dog,,, granted the others is very deep,, but I like a bit of width 5 Quote Link to post
baw 4,360
Ohhh ya f****r tomo, she looks class mate. Know what you mean, I like the wide chest myself. She's Definately my cup of tea and for a speed bomb that has 3 mins in the tank, deadly. I'm siting here gutted she ran away lol. Reminds me of a fawn dog I had, he never had 3 mins in him but a powerhouse just the same and very fast with the mouth. Cheers for that mate, if nothing else good comes from this thread bar that, I'm happy Quote Link to post
