socks 32,253
I've often wondered why every time you see those sled dogs at rest they are always tethered, in the middle of feckin nowhere too..!! Maybe if they were off they'd just keep feckin runnin...? They would be gone mate they have no off switch and massive drive ...... Mine are never on a lead but then I don't take them anywhere near traffic ... I am lucky that I live on a farm track in the middle of nowhere ... However it can be a pain being constantly off the lead just this afternoon my old bitch followed by the pup ran up over a small hill and when I followed they were both hundreds of meters away chasing 5 roe deer into the distance ... The pup came back after Bout a minuet thank feck but he old bitch didn't appear for a good five minuets ... No blood on her so no deer to track down ....as she got back to me the gamekeeper emerged from the wood in his land rover .... Now if the roe were closer to her in the field and she had caught one I would be stood there bloodied arms and a grolached deer banged to rights by the keeper ... Not that he owns the feckers they are wild !!!!! But now the less I don't want the attention .... Worst still the pup could have got injured or lost ... But I have always and will always run my dogs off the lead when on walks ........... Quote Link to post
