lewis collins 4
Hi guys, i've seen these air strippers on many rifles but i dont know what they are intended for. so could some of you share your knowledge of them, thanks Lew Quote Link to post
Tron 173
Hiya Lew, the airstripper muzzle fitments are supposed to reduce air turbulance behind the pellet as it leaves the muzzle of the gun Speaking for myself I believe such add ons are just another "Must have" for people who think their gun will become pellet on pellet at 50 yards plus. If you look at some of the amazing shooting videos of some of the shooters who are members on here you will see non apear to have such gimmicks on their rifles. If you want to believe airstrippers work then go ahead and buy one, I think they are just a way of making money for the makers of such things. 3 Quote Link to post

RUBBISH...an air stripper is a device you fit to the end of your rifle that causes ladies clothes to come off....... 4 Quote Link to post
andyfr1968 772
As Tron's said, a total waste of money, IMO. As Acuspell's said, bang on!! I'm going to patent the 'air pole dancer' to compete!! Edit to add... I'd probably best work out a design first..... Edited February 27, 2013 by andyfr1968 1 Quote Link to post
BenjiBoy 3
Tried an airstripper once, but honestly couldn't tell the difference... maybe I'm not a good enough shot... or maybe they are a waste of time. Suppose the only way to find out is to try one. Quote Link to post
Tron 173
Doh! if anyone wants to try one I have two spare in .177 one off a new Ultra, and one off a R10. £12.00 each posted. Quote Link to post

valboskie 39
Some people at our club swear by the uk neil air strippers they seem to tighten up there groups quite a bit After 35 yards some peoples by half. They say the key is setting them up right as the internal cone can adjust upto 13mm you must find the right Distance for your gun Quote Link to post

gasman1 15
i tried on on my hw100. it was one with an adjustable cone. i was supposed to move the cone in or out to fine tune how well it worked. my groups got slightly worse and my zero moved about 5mm left. i wanted it to work cos it looked good. the gun just didnt like it. as soon as it took it off and put the silencer back on it went back to one holing at 30yards. some of them do look nice for a bit of bling, but thats about it. i think a lot of it is a confidence thing. a lot can be said for positive mental attitude. for them that believe, fair enough. it didnt work for me though.
